Jacqui is a retired Methodist Minister who has served over 24 years in Sussex, Hampshire and Norfolk. Prior to 2000, she was involved for 18 years with an ecumenical partnership in Cambridgeshire where she developed training skills as well as producing resources for Homegroups and resources relating to Christian Discipleship. In 2006 she worked for the Iona Community as the Sacristan of Iona Abbey for 10 months. As a Circuit Minister in Hampshire from 2007 - 2009, Jacqui produced a Bible Study on the gospel lectionary passage each week and these were available on the Southampton Methodist District website and used by individuals and groups. From 2010 - 2019, Jacqui was a Circuit minister based in Wymondham in Norfolk and in addition to normal ministerial duties and responsibilities, she spearheaded pioneering work in creating community on the chuch premises (Town Green Centre) and in the offer of alternative spirituality in the Centre, including running several successful courses in Mindfulness. From 2020 - 2024, in conjunction with preachers and worship-leaders in the Central Norfolk Circuit (of which Jacqui was Superintendent for 5 years) she produced a weekly 'Worship at Home' sheet that was used by dozens of people in the covid lockdowns, and by people unable to attend church thereafter. Throughout her adult life, Jacqui has written poems, hymns, monologues and other creative material in a Christian framework - it is this material along with the Bible Studies and edited/revised Worship sheets that form the basis of the resources on this website.
Jacqui is a keen reader, swimmer, walker and photographer. She enjoys relating the Christian Faith to contemporary culture and society and is passionate about bringing the Bible alive in attractive and engaging ways. Other interests include the Life of Jane Austen and the use of Labyrinths in prayer and spirituality.
Jacqui has two children and five grandchildren and now lives in Sussex with her partner Jen.
